Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of LensNote. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use LensNote.
1. The service
LensNote is a software-as-a-service product that turns video and audio recordings — meetings, lectures, courses, and long-form videos — into structured visual notes. The service transcribes recordings, detects and captures key visual frames, aligns frames with transcripts and timestamps, generates summaries and key messages using artificial intelligence, and lets you edit and export the resulting documents.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a paid term without offering a remedy such as a refund or plan change.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use LensNote.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload recordings you do not have the right to process, including recordings made without the consent required by applicable law;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious;
- attempt to probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as a competing offering;
- use automated means to create accounts or abuse free-trial allowances, including evading our fraud-prevention measures.
You are solely responsible for complying with recording-consent laws that apply to the meetings and content you process with LensNote.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and usage limits
LensNote offers a free trial and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Team), billed monthly or annually, plus optional add-on packs for additional processing minutes, advanced visual minutes, long-video passes, and storage. Current prices and plan allowances are shown on the pricing page.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Plan allowances (such as processing minutes) refresh each monthly billing cycle and do not roll over unless stated otherwise. Add-on packs are consumed after plan allowances and remain valid for 12 months from purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Applicable taxes may be added based on your billing location.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
5. Your content and intellectual property
You retain all rights to the recordings you upload and the notes, transcripts, and exports generated from them (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide and support the service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
LensNote and its software, design, and branding are owned by us and our licensors. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership in the service to you.
6. AI-generated output
Transcripts, summaries, key messages, and explanations are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions. Review AI output before relying on it for important decisions. AI output is provided for your convenience and does not constitute professional advice.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or complete.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or USD 100 if you have not made any payments). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if required by law. Where practical, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export Your Content before termination. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5–8 and 11) survive termination.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the product at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the LensNote operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
