Account, Sign-in & Security

Sign up

Create an account with your name, email, and a password of at least 8 characters, then confirm your email address from the message we send. You need a confirmed email to sign in and to start the free trial.

Ways to sign in

• Email and password
• Email me a code — a one-time code, valid for 5 minutes
• Email me a sign-in link
• Passkey, on devices that support it

Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? and enter the emailed code within 5 minutes to set a new one.

The macOS app signs in through your browser.

Settings

Open Settings in the sidebar to:

• Change your display name.
• Change email — we send a confirmation to the new address.
• Change password — this signs you out everywhere else.

Two-factor authentication

1. In Settings, enter your password and choose Set up two-factor.
2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, or enter the key manually.
3. Enter a code to Verify and enable.
4. Save your backup codes somewhere safe. Each one works once.

When you sign in, enter a code from your authenticator, a backup code, or use a passkey. Tick Trust this device for 60 days to skip the code on that device. Turning two-factor off also requires your password.

Passkeys

In Settings, name a passkey and choose Add passkey. Remove passkeys from the same list.

Security alerts

We email you when your account signs in on a new device. See Email Notifications.

Delete your account

1. Cancel any active subscription first. Accounts with an active subscription cannot be deleted.
2. In Settings → Danger zone, choose Delete account and Send deletion email.
3. Open the link in the email and choose Permanently delete my account.

Deleting your account removes your sessions from LensNote and cannot be undone.
